Sandeep Kalsi signs on as managing director, Atomic PR | Europe

We actually met Sandeep a couple of years ago when he was advising European agencies on growth strategies and contacted us about possibly being acquired. We weren't interested, but we did strike up a conversation about analytics, social media, video and search that continued past those early conversations.

When we set out to find an MD we interviewed more than a dozen very strong candidates in London and all were quite good; it was flattering. Sandeep seemed a strong candidate from the start, especially given his appreciable experience in running global PR campaigns and in helping to grow agencies, as he did in his tenure at Text 100 and as a board director with Next Fifteen. Things started quickly. Days after signing on, while he was with us here in San Francisco to get further immersed in all things Atomic, he played a key role in winning a global comms review for roaming provider Roamware. We're delighted to have Sandeep aboard. Here's his bio:

Sandeep Kalsi Managing director, Atomic PR | Europe

Sandeep has been immersed in the Technology and Marketing Industry for more than 20 years. He has a hands-on style and experience with global brands across Europe, Asia and North America. He has worked with familiar names from the likes of Microsoft, SAP, Cisco and Symantec to new emerging players such as ArcSight, Infosys, and Wipro as well as with Bharti and Roamware from India. As a former Director of Next Fifteen Communications plc, (holding company for tech agencies including Text 100, Outcast and Bite), he spent many painful yet rewarding years building offices across Europe and in emerging markets such as India, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Africa.

Latterly, Sandeep has served in strategic advisory roles for agencies and tech startups, helping redefine the communications model, integrating SEO, PPC, PR and digital marketing techniques.

Of Indian origin (Sikh), but born in Africa, Sandeep speaks three Asian languages, English and broken Swahili. He has a BA in Economics and a public commendation for a Citizen's Arrest of a jewel thief.
