			<title>Smule’s Ocarina: This is how you build a great iPhone app</title>

			<description>Last Friday, Jason Kincaid posted this piece, which we love, about new client Smule (www.smule.com) on TechCrunch. Smule introduced the Sonic Lighter in September, allowing users to spread light over sound using the new Smule Sonic Network™. The Sonic Network now spans 3,500 unique geographic locations and six continents. In the past few weeks, Atomic has helped drive high-profile launches for three additional new applications – Sonic Boom, Sonic Vox and Ocarina – based on Smule’s innovative mobile Sonic Network which extends the range of the musical, physical and social interactions capable via iPhone. Since launch in September, Smule applications have become the #1 paid iPhone apps in the U.S. as well as in the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Holland, Japan and Spain. Smule will present Wednesday at this week’s Under the Radar: Mobility conference (www.undertheradarblog.com) in Mountain View, CA.

			<title>Driving site traffic through PR: Mint.com</title>
			<link>http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/atomicpr/particles/~3/449828084/Driving-site-traffic-through-PR-Mint.com.html</link>
			<description>The dashboard above from Compete.com shows site traffic for Atomic client Mint.com, Intuit’s Quicken Online and another smaller competitor for 2008, through Oct 31. Mint is in blue at the top, Intuit’s Quicken Online is green in the middle. That topline number for Mint in October is more than 700,000 monthly uniques.

Atomic has been working with Mint for a little over a year, helping soft launch the company at TechCrunch40 2007 and collaborating with Mint’s senior executives on strategy and execution since then. An early case study can be found here. Driving site traffic has been a primary goal of the PR program from the start. Without discussing confidential details, here’s what we/they have been doing lately: monitoring the media and blog environment with ComContext and other analytics; maintaining clear, sharp brand positioning; delivering ongoing thought leadership opportunities for CEO Aaron Patzer; maintaining a steady mix of segmented news, trend and educational content and offering it up on a tailored basis to journalists, TV producers and bloggers that make sense for each angle; migrating stories from the blogosphere to mainstream media and vice versa, and making good use of search smart content strategies and digital video.

			<title>Atomic invited to judge 2009 PR Week Awards; third year running</title>
			<link>http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/atomicpr/particles/~3/403383964/Atomic-invited-to-judge-2009-PR-Week-Awards-third-year-running.html</link>
			<description>Atomic’s co-founder and CEO, Andy Getsey has been invited to judge the 2009 PR Week Awards again for the third year running.

To enter the awards, click here. Deadline is October 10.

The awards chair this year is Mark Addicks, CMO and SVP at General Mills (Bio) .

Here’s how the awards judging works. There is a preliminary round of judging that judges do on their own first, then the final judging will take place in early December at a super secret location in NYC. Judging day is typically an all day affair but some groups finish faster. Blind balloting is used, so even the judges don’t know who the actual winners will be until the formal dinner and awards ceremony, to be held Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Tavern on the Green in New York City.

Last year’s winners and a video are here.

			<title>Atomic featured in PR Week’s 2008 Annual Agency Business Report - Moves up in Agency Rankings</title>
			<link>http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/atomicpr/particles/~3/284920204/Atomic-featured-in-PR-Weeks-2008-Annual-Agency-Business-Report-Moves-up-in-Agency-Rankings.html</link>
			<description>For the second year running, Atomic was one of a handful of tech related agencies profiled by PR Week in their annual Agency Business Report. Thanks PR Week.

For Atomic, 2007 was a year of crossing the $5 million threshold, while preparing and investing to go to the next level in 2008. We had grown quickly over the past two years, and elected to slow down just a bit from the 35%+ growth of prior years. Our goal was to lay the foundation for continuing growth in 2008 while maintaining the quality of service, culture and work/life balance that have always been our hallmarks..We added several large brands to our client list, and broadened our service offerings in SEO, SEM, and digital video. We also expanded our senior management team and staff with top talent, secured more office space, further refined our management and staff development processes, expanded our international partner network – even served as judges in the PR Week Awards for the second year running. We’re happy with progress and preparations on all fronts in 2007

2008 is off to a good start.  The agency continues to deliver on its promise of our best efforts to increase impact of PR spend by 100% or more across numerous measurements of PR goodness. Programs for current clients continue to grow in their effectiveness and a number of clients have increased their budgets with us.  The agency has won numerous competitive reviews against some of the other best agencies in the world for a great new layer of brand name clients ranging from deep tech to consumer and entertainment tech.  First trimester revenue is up more than 50% over the same period in 2007.  This, despite the fact that several Atomic clients were acquired during the same time period - with a combined market value well exceeding $1.25 billion. We continue to be word-of-mouth and referral only.  We presently have no new business efforts, and no new business team - the team that meets our clients is the team that runs their accounts.  Our offices in LA and NYC are growing nicely, and preparations for offices in select new US cities and key international locations are shaping up well.&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;
