Atomic PR has won a competitive pitch to handle global PR for open-source database software developer Ingres Corp.
Atomic
is charged with handling “classical” PR, online and emerging media, and
digital video services for Ingres, which has previously embraced social
media like blogs and podcasts as part of its communications.
Tracy Eiler, senior VP of corporate marketing, said Atomic’s analysis
of the open source database category “stood out from the other very
good agencies that made our final list.” Budget was not disclosed.
Nick Olsson, VP at San Francisco-based Atomic, heads the account.
PE
firm Garnett & Helfrich bought Ingres from Computer Associates in
late 2005 and set up Ingres Corp. The company competes with database
developers like Oracle and Sybase. Outcast PR had worked with Ingres in
the past. The company continues to work with San Francisco-based Varney
Business Communication. |
