Atomic's founders launch entertainment and lifestyle
PR firm, Civilia
Civilia and Atomic will each have offices in San Francisco
and Los Angeles. The two agencies will operate independently,
but work together on select assignments.
Atomic created Civilia because it was increasingly
getting approached by companies outside of its tech
expertise - like perfume makers and celebrities.
"Clients were contacting us that were pretty far
afield from tech," said Andy Getsey,
Atomic co-founder and CEO.
Atomic acquired the management, staff, and clients
of southern California entertainment agency, amPR in
the fourth quarter of 2006. The Civilia team includes
the former principal and staff of amPR, as well as select
Atomic arts and culture veterans, including VP Margaret
Huang, who will managed the Atomic team.
Civilia's clients include Amanda
Mackay, Nicole Pulliam, DeShawn Washington, Marisa Petroro,
and other actors and on-screen personalities. The agency
also recently won clients such as the Tezuka Manga exhibition
at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco; Bebo, the
fast growing global social network for young adults;
and Traction Radio, an internet music network created
by Stickman Entertainment. |
