Silicon Valley American Marketing Association (SVAMA) Chooses Atomic Public Relations

Agency Innovator's First Assignment: Manage Communications for SVAMA Marketing Innovations Forum, with Keynotes from Guy Kawasaki and Andy Sernovitz

San Francisco, CA - March 20, 2007 - Atomic Public Relations, a leading new generation communications firm, today announced it has been named PR Agency of Record for the Silicon Valley American Marketing Association (SVAMA), a top resource for Valley marketers. Atomic will handle communications for the organization, including media / member relations, and the development of new media channels for its unique perspectives and services. The agency's first assignment is to drive attendance at the SVAMA's premier Marketing Thought conference, a mid-day forum for sharing the latest thinking in marketing, in search of the next great marketing idea. "Having applied the same level of breakthrough innovation to public relations that we'll highlight across all related disciplines at the Marketing Thought conference, Atomic was the right choice to promote our inaugural event," said Gene Hall, president of SVAMA. "We were also drawn to the agency's unique perspective on using new media channels to deliver our message to range of niche audiences." SVAMA's Marketing Thought conference includes keynotes by two of the industry's most recognized marketing thought leaders: Guy Kawasaki, managing director of Garage Technology Ventures and columnist for Forbes.com who will present "The Art of Innovation," a discussion on setting new standards for innovation, and Andy Sernovitz, founder and CEO of Word of Mouth Association, who will speak on topics from his new book, "Word of Mouth Marketing: 5 Simple Steps: How to master buzz, blogs, viral and word of mouth marketing," which addresses how to harness some of the latest and hottest marketing tools in the industry.

"Alternative ideas are at the core of our business," said Andy Getsey, Atomic's co-founder and CEO, "and we've always been a supporter of organizations that encourage creativity and innovation. So we're honored that the SVAMA has chosen us to help launch this exciting opportunity for the Valley's marketing community."

In conjunction with event sponsor, Quick 2 Publish, SVAMA has also announced the Marketing Thought Publishing Contest, and will publish a book of the best ideas submitted.
