Andy Getsey
Co-founder

Andy has worked with senior marketing execs and CEOs of high profile technology companies on communications strategy & planning, positioning/messaging and spokesperson coaching for more than 15 years. Recent highlights include Sony Electronics, Verizon, ArcSight, Mint, Visual.ly, Moonfruit, Polaroid, Pioneer, Linkedin, Bebo, Rapt, Xign, Photobucket and others.

Andy is the original architect of ComContext™ analytics and related processes for communications research, PR and social media planning and program results measurement. Before creating the Atomic communications model, he was president of Shafer, a technology advertising, PR and Web marketing agency with clients including Oracle, Earthlink, Toshiba, LookSmart and others.

Previously, he headed global communications for digital graphics company CalComp Lockheed-Martin. He started his career at database marketing agency Krupp/Taylor FCB, whose clients included Apple, United Airlines and Visa. Andy has a BA in learning theory and an MBA from California State University.


James Hannon
Co-founder

James' blend of interactive marketing, PR and technical expertise spans more than 15 years. He's counseled CEOs and senior executives across a diverse range of technology, consumer and non-profit organizations. Recent collaborations include Smule, Photobucket, BitTorrent, Mint, imeem, Blurb, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Hotwire.com, IMAX, Giant Killer Robots, IronKey, the Anti-Phishing Working Group, Verizon, SixApart, the EFF, the ACLU of Northern California and others.

James manages select Atomic teams and contributes widely on research, competitive strategy, content issues, and integrated digital campaigns. He is the architect of Atomic's on-demand analytics application for communications research, PR planning and program measurement, in addition to its online applications and workflow systems.

Prior co-founding Atomic, James spent 5 years at Shafer, a top independent technology marketing agency, where he was both CIO and a strategist on award winning campaigns for brands including Toshiba, CalComp and Quantum. Previously, he was a systems integrator and technology consultant for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to agencies. Before that, he was a technologist with the Electronic Security Command of the US Air Force, as well as the USAF Space Command.


Nick Olsson
Senior vice president

Nick has broad experience in marketing and public relations, working within startups, corporate marketing departments, agencies and as an independent consultant. His current and previous clients at Atomic have included Verizon Wireless, NETGEAR, MarkLogic, Ingres, Smule, TrueCar, Echelon, Sigma Designs, RealtyTrac, Clear Capital, Vurv (acquired by Taleo), Callidus Software, Xign (acquired by JPMorgan Chase) and OuterBay (acquired by HP). His industry experience ranges from enterprise software and hardware to online advertising, media, mobile, financial services and consumer technologies.

Prior to Atomic, Nick was an independent consultant and writer. He has also overseen communications for startup Kenamea (now Scivantage) and managed a team at Blanc & Otus working with E*TRADE, InterTrust and ZDNet. He began his agency career at Neale-May & Partners. Nick has a BA in English from Cornell University.


Rachel Rogers
Senior vice president & director
Los Angeles

Rachel heads Atomic's Los Angeles office, where her teams work with a variety of accounts including Hotwire, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Coupons.com, TVN and others. She has more than twelve years of PR and marketing experience working with entertainment, advertising, and consumer brands.

Rachel joined Atomic from EMAK Worldwide, a publicly traded marketing services holding company where she was Director of Communications. At EMAK, she orchestrated the publicity for global brand clients including Burger King, Miller and Kellogg's for whom the agency won numerous awards including a Gold Clio for digital campaign, Simpsonizeme.com on behalf of Burger King.

Before EMAK, Rachel worked with top tier entertainment brands including Pacific Theatres, the William Morris Agency, and Buena Vista Home Entertainment. Previously, she was head of communications for Imagine Entertainment, orchestrating PR and marketing campaigns for a wide slate of film properties. Rachel holds a BA in English Literature from Trinity College in Hartford CT.


Chris Knight
Vice president

Chris has more than 15 years of experience at top PR agencies such as Cohn & Wolfe, Fleishman-Hillard and GCI Group. His expertise includes consumer electronics, enterprise hardware and software, B2B and consumer branding campaigns, social and digital media, wireless/mobility, healthcare, corporate communications and online services. Prior to his PR career, he worked in print and broadcast journalism.

Large global brands and innovative startups Chris has represented include Algoriddim, BMW, Chevron, Dell, Intellisync, Kaleidescape, Maxtor Corporation, Neato Robotics, Ooma, Pioneer Electronics, Panasonic, Reactrix, SanDisk, Starbucks, Seagate Technology, Sun Microsystems, Veo, Walmart and Wayport.

He earned a BS degree in advertising from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, and a certificate in business administration from U.C. Berkeley.


Julia Konstantinovsky
Vice president

Julia has more than twelve years of public relations, brand marketing and event experience. She has worked with a range of consumer and technology companies including Sony's premiere shopping destination Metreon, Bebo, Animoto, LinkedIn, LivingSocial, IMAX, Reactrix, MyPoints and others. Her team focuses on outreach to broad consumer lifestyle, entertainment, social networking, and Web 2.0 print, online and broadcast media and bloggers.

Prior to joining Atomic, she was the communications & marketing manager at Sony Metreon, where she developed PR, brand marketing and sponsorship programs for the entertainment center, staged large-scale public events, and developed partnerships with some of the nation's top entertainment brands and artists.

Before that, Julia held PR positions at Bravo Marketing and the Weber Group. Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Communication and Mass Media from the University of San Francisco.


Libby Langsdorf
Vice president, Atomic New York

Libby brings more than 11 years of experience in Public Relations, Public Affairs and digital media in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Atomic, Libby served as Assistant Vice President for Public Affairs at New York City's Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) where she oversaw public relations, mainstream and digital media campaigns for the more than 60 programs launched by New York City across media and technology, financial services, biotech, nonprofits and fashion.

Many of the projects Libby managed, including the New York City BigApps Competition, NYC Next Idea global business plan competition, and the City's network of technology and startup business incubators have been recognized internationally for their innovation. MyCityWay, a winner of the inaugural BigApps Competition, also received the first investment by the $22 million New York City Entrepreneurial Fund, the first seed and early-stage investment fund sponsored by a municipality outside of Silicon Valley, and the first investment of the new BMWi Fund for mobile technologies.

Previously, Libby was with Rubenstein Public Relations and LaForce + Stevens in New York, working with consumer and lifestyle clients including Absolut Vodka and Johnnie Walker Blue; Vertu; Project A.L.S.; the Vogue/CFDA "Fashion for America" fund; The New York Times; myHotel Bloomsbury, and SMINT/Chupa Chups.

A native of St. Louis, Libby received her M.P.A. from New York University's Wagner School of Public Service and her B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University.


Martha Shaughnessy
Vice president

Martha brings nearly 10 years of PR experience in the consumer and consumer tech space - the last five at Atomic. She led the team that helped grow Mint.com from a pre-beta startup through acquisition, and continues on as the head of PR for the Intuit Personal Finance Group.

She also currently works with location-based shopping startup shopkick, connected imaging leader Eye-Fi, online video creation platform Animoto, and others. Other clients have included tech companies Bebo, IMAX, and Verizon; consumer brands like The North Face and Whole Foods Markets; and non-profits The Asian Art Museum, the San Francisco Symphony and Zeum.

Her team specializes in broadening consumer technology stories beyond beat reporters and reviewers into lifestyle stories that reach a wide variety of audiences. A San Francisco native, she graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a degree in anthropology.


Daniel Cohen
Managing director, UK and EMEA

From McDonald’s, Coca Cola and British Airways to Land Rover, Nescafe, Perrier and the National Lottery, Daniel has helped brands big and small achieve stellar PR and social media results. His career spans 20 years; from writing about restaurants to getting kicked around dressed as a bunny, and working in pot wash.

Since those days, he's been fortunate to have worked with some of the best talent in the industry having led three multi-award winning top five consumer practices, Harrison Cowley, Trimedia and Grayling. He believes in getting up close and personal on campaigns and his mantra is simple. Keep the story simple, life is complex enough as it is.


Helen Ellis
Director

Helen manages key pan European accounts from Atomic's London office. With more than 15 years experience as a PR professional, she has developed and driven creative, results-oriented UK and international campaigns for both blue-chip companies and start-ups predominantly in the consumer technology and web brands sectors, spanning Dell, Garmin, Alcatel, Ericsson, Nokia, Red Hat, Living Social and Hotwire.com. Prior to joining Atomic she worked for GCI (now Cohn & Wolfe) where she led the PR programme for Dell across the UK and Ireland.

She started her career with tech specialist agency Johnson King where she supported the European expansion of a number of start-ups which have gone on to great things. These companies included Juniper Networks and Foundry Networks and many more that have since been acquired. At Johnson King she was also instrumental in overseeing the agency's international expansion including opening and initially running their Benelux office.


Judy Wilks
Director

Judy is a senior communications consultant and pan-European campaign strategist based in Atomic's London office, after spending 5 years as an SVP with Atomic in San Francisco. For more than 15 years, she has devised and driven global and national campaigns on both sides of the Atlantic for multibillion-dollar corporations and start-ups. Judy has had the privilege of working with some of consumer electronics and technology's biggest names, including Apple, Intel, Microsoft, Toshiba and Juniper Networks.

She has also helped numerous smaller companies take their stories to a broader consumer audience, including Six Apart, KidZui, xumii and Printasia. Judy was a founding member of technology PR agency Bite Communications in the United Kingdom and founded the agency's first U.S. office in San Francisco. Prior to Bite, she gained her PR spurs at Text 100 in London. Judy loves a good communications challenge and is passionate about brands and grammar.


Michaela Gross
Director

Michaela Gross, formerly MD Harvard Public Relations Munich, part of Good Relations Group, has joined as Head of Atomic PR Munich in December 2012. Previously, Michaela acted as Head of Corporate Communications at Seeburger, a global SAP partner for B2B Integration, where she was responsible for international corporate communications. Before, she headed the Munich office of Harvard Public Relations, part of Good Relations Group. Prior to joining Good Relations Group, she worked for Publicis Group and A&B; One Communications Group in Munich.

As Senior PR & Marketing Communications professional with global experience and passion for modern communications and quality of work, Michaela is an enthusiastic consultant of small companies and blue-chip technology firms alike. Her fields of expertise cover corporate branding, B2B communications, consumer technology brands and CSR. Michaela has proven track record of handling successfully global accounts and multicultural teams alike, her client references include BMW, Cap Gemini, Corbis, Ericsson, Fujitsu, Mercury Interactive (now part of HP Software Solutions), McAfee, Philip Morris, Sony Computer Entertainment, Toshiba Europe and many others.

Michaela holds a MA degree in Language and Communications Sciences from University of Regensburg, Trent University of Peterborough Ontario, Canada and Università degli Studi di Trieste, Italy. A Munich native, she likes contemporary art, travelling, city breaks and enjoys skiing in the Tyrolean Alps and Engadine in winter.


Maggie Habib
Vice President

Maggie brings 10 years of progressive brand-building PR experience to Atomic. Her team in Orange County represents clients across digital, HR and technology categories.

Previously, she spent five years with Citizen Relations, where she led both corporate and consumer campaigns for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies such as P&G;, Hilton and Aflac to entrepreneurial start-ups like Sungevity and CODA Automotive. While there, she developed a strong track record of award-winning media relations, influencer partnerships, event planning, social media activations and crisis planning.

Previously, Maggie oversaw marketing communications for Korn/Ferry International, the world’s largest executive recruitment and talent management firm. She began her career with Burson-Marsteller, where she served a number of consumer clients including the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa, Mazola, BEHR Paints, Kay Jewelers and Activision. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California. Maggie is fluent in Arabic and conversant in Spanish.


Dean Buckley
Director of Finance

Dean brings over 25 years of financial management experience and expertise to Atomic Group. He directs the financial aspects of group agencies, including accounting practices, budgeting, financial planning and financial analysis.

Previously Dean held various positions as a Controller across the global energy sector, technology startups and sizeable marketing agencies. He began his career at Texaco, where he was responsible for managing the company’s payments to California oil royalty holders. Dean holds a BS degree from University of Santa Barbara California majoring in Business Economics.


Jennifer Krivanek
Sr. Director of Talent

Jennifer has been with Atomic since early 2008, and handles all US human resources management and staffing and recruiting. She has more than 16 years of human resources experience. Her expertise includes employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, Local, State and Federal compliance and recruitment and retention.

Previously, Jennifer held human resources positions with small tech start-ups as well as larger corporations such as Siemens. She also spent several years as an HR and staffing consultant for high-tech clients. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Pennsylvania State University.


Scott Samson
Vice president
Energy and Sustainability

Scott currently heads up Atomic’s energy, cleantech and sustainability group, working with clients such as Opower, GreenStar Hub and Cleanweb, among others. The group is quickly becoming the go-to PR team for all things sustainable – taking on US-based and global initiatives.

With close to 15 year of experience, Scott is a strategic communicator, innovator and sustainability visionary, providing senior-level counsel and PR to leading companies, organizations and brands. His expertise includes media relations, social media, marketing and events, with an articulate, skilled on-air presence. He has extensive cleantech and sustainability media and influencer relationships, and with celebs and public officials, and is adept at securing balanced, thoughtful coverage from CNN and MSNBC to USA Today and Businessweek, among others.

Prior to joining Atomic, some of Scott’s successes include:

  • Ran communications programs for Con Edison, Southern California Edison, PG&E;, NV Energy, SDG&E;, The Gas Company, and PEPCO
  • Spearheaded the Grand Opening of carbonLITE, the largest bottle-to-bottle recycling plant in the world
  • Ran a three-year awareness effort with the Navy's Alternative Energy Program
  • Launched the award-winning America's WETLAND: Campaign to Save Coastal Louisiana
  • Developed the first-ever "green" carpet in Hollywood used at major award shows
  • Planned The Ice Lounge at Sundance with The North Face and Lexus and working with celebs like Justin Timberlake to raise environmental awareness
